Building a future for those who have none...

Japan Building Africa (JBA) was started in 2011 as part of the answer to poverty in Southern Africa. More than a decade after the abolition of Apartheid, South Africa is still a country in which the majority of her people are impoverished, lacking the most basic but most necessary elements of life, namely: water, food, shelter and clothing. Even though South Africa is one of the more wealthy countries in Africa, the division between rich and poor is still very great.
JBA aims to help by providing food and by building habitats in South Africa. Building habitats include anything from helping with the construction of houses to assisting with the set-up of agricultural projects. This is accomplished through the efforts of like-minded people all around the world in the form of donations and/or volunteering.
At JBA it is our goal to help combat poverty in South Africa. We aim to do this in two ways:
1) Building Africa - On-site habitat building.
2) Feeding Africa - Providing support to impoverished people
All donations received go towards making one of these two objectives possible, either by funding building materials or by providing food. We are partnering with institutions in South Africa to make these goals possible. By helping these people with building habitats or providing food, we can change the face of South Africa, and as a result, that of Africa itself. For more information please check out our other tabs. These will provide you with additional information on what we do.
Japan Building Africa is a non-registered NPO based in Japan.
